Park City

 We had a quick getaway to Park City a few weeks ago. We stayed at the Grand Summit Hotel at the Canyons Resort. It was nice and relaxing! The weather was perfect. 

 We had lunch on Main Street after we hit the outlets. Then of coarse, stopped at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. 

           

                           It was a beautiful drive through the Canyon! 

                                                    Fall is here! 

Timp Cave

I have lived in Utah my whole life and have never been to Timpanogos Cave. Well, yesterday Eric and I decided to make the trek up the mountain. It was a hard hike, but it was worth it! The cave was awesome! 

     

                  

 
         

                   

Nelson Family Campout

This weekend Eric and I went to a big family camp out near Ashton, Idaho. His parents were nice enough to let us stay in their camper. There were about 130  people so you can imagine the amount of food we had. Eric also took me to Yellowstone for the first time. It was even better than I expected! We started with the hot pools, then got to Old faithful just a few minutes before it went off, saw tons of geysers, beautiful waterfalls and ended with swimming at the Firehole. We even experienced the sulfur smell at the mud volcano. It was such a fun trip!

HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEETHEART! Its going to be a good year!

Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh my!

We went to the Zoo for Eric's Birthday. Our 3rd date was actually at the Zoo so it was fun to go back. They added a new section with a Polar Bear and Grizzly. They were probably our favorite, along with the Tigers and Giraffes. 

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July. We started the day with a family reunion at the church with the Yearsleys.Then went and bought some fireworks for us, like smoke bombs, sparklers, poppers, flowers, snakes and a couple fountains. Later we went to Provo to watch the Stadium of Fire- fireworks. We just sat in the big grass area in front of the Temple, along with hundreds of other people. It was a great show with great company and we celebrated in our patriotic colors!      

                         

               

Canoeing

We rented a Canoe and paddled down the river. Their is a place in Provo called Class Ropes, near Utah Lake that rents them out. They also have a giant swing, rock climbing and other fun stuff like that. It was a beautiful day, we had a nice and relaxing ride. 

MOAB

Delicate Arch

We spontaneously decided to go to Moab for the day. After having mono forever, I just needed to get out of the house and do something fun. We left Saturday morning and drove 3 hours until we arrived at the National Park. It was free entrance day so we got lucky. We hiked to Delicate Arch, went to a couple other sites and walked around. Then we headed home that afternoon. It was a perfect little road trip.

Camping/ Fishing

 We went camping up American Fork Canyon by Tibble Fork Reservoir. Tent, fire, smores, tinfoil dinners and all! I got my first fishing license and Eric taught me how it is done. We had fun attempting to catch a fish. The only thing we caught was an orange peel, but its all about the experience right? Maybe next time!
